October 21 - South Africa's giant short term insurance group,
Santam can add another feather into its cap after being voted the Best
Company to Work For in a recent study.
The Deloitte's annual survey for 2009 outlined what it was about Santam's
work environment that made it so attractive to employees, including major focus
on the group's workers and creating a fun and comfortable work place.
Santam beat other groups in the large company category (defined as a group
that employs over 2,500 full time people), such as ABSA and WesBank to take home
the prestigious title.
Santam has taken a number of steps in recent years to ensure that its workers
always feel satisfied, with the aim of bringing out their maximum potential in
this way.
The group's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) ensures that their workers enjoy
an enriching work experience, receive appropriate recognition and rewards,
receive care and respect and also benefit from a fun work environment whenever
possible.
The title as Best Company to Work For is just one of a number of awards won
by Santam in recent times.
The group was recently voted as the Best Insurance Company at the Financial
Intermediaries Association awards in three different categories: personal,
commercial and corporate short term insurance.
The FIA awards are voted by independent insurance brokers.
