May 15 - An extremely handy resource tool is about to be launched on Summit
TV on May 19th, that is sure to assist South Africans with information regarding
insurance and financial planning.
The Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA), announced that it will be
sponsoring a 26 episode series known as 'Talking Risk', which will discuss
anything and everything about the insurance agency.
"Talking Risk is aimed at those who have or are considering investing
in risk and other insurance products," said the President of the FIA, Arnold van
der Linde. "By debunking myths, addressing perceptions, debating topical issues
and tackling consumer concerns, Talking Risk will help educate and empower
consumers to take more ownership of their portfolios and make informed choices
about product purchases."
A wide number of topics will be covered to ensure that viewers are exposed to
as many facets of this industry as possible, including employee benefits,
healthcare insurance and others.
The series will also cover hot topics, such as the pros and cons of direct
insurance versus intermediaries, as well as the good and the bad of commission.
Hosted by Semiye Zake who is best know for his cover of financial topics, the
nine minute program will be broadcast five times a week on Summit TV.
A panel of experts and commentators will join Zake in the studio each week to
discuss the relevant topic and provide viewers with different angles on a
particular subject.
