June 10 - Mutual & Federal, South Africa's leading short term insurance group, was honoured recently by being awarded Superbrand status in 2010.
The independent branding authority, Superbrands, celebrated some of the country's leading brands at a special ceremony last month, where Mutual & Federal was awarded the status.
"We are delighted about the news," said Marketing and Brand executive for the group, David Entwisle. "This achievement means that Mutual & Federal is recognized as a strong brand, not only in the short terms insurance industry, but among South Africa's leading brands as well."
The award also means that Mutual & Federal will appear in the 2010 Superbrands South Africa Volume III publication that was unveiled at the ceremony.
The Superbrands council examines a company from all angles before deciding to award it with such a coveted status.
The group was recognized for its market dominance, reputation and acceptance, as well as goodwill and strong customer loyalty.
"We believe that the Superbrands status would not have been possible, had it not been for the continuous support we receive from our loyal brokers, policyholders and our staff," noted Entwisle.
He added: "Receiving the Superbrands accolade confirms our status as a leader in the industry. We are honoured by this recognition and committed to retaining our brand leadership status in the years to come."
