April 21 - One of South Africa's leading short term insurance groups has
opened up another deal assessment claims center to ease the burden of
policyholders involved in accidents with their vehicles.
Mutual & Federal announced that the claims and repair center in Boksburg
will allow policyholders to register their claims regarding the damage, receive
quotes and all their cars repaired - all on site.
The group already runs a very successful center that works along similar
lines in Cresta, Randburg.
Mutual & Federal said that while the center will cater for cosmetic damage
repairs, another workshop that can cater for extensive internal damage is
conveniently located adjacent to the center.
"The center uses state of the art technology combined with an industry
standard quoting system, allowing us to reduce the average cost per claim and
the hassle for the client," said the General Manager of Mutual & Federal Claims
Operational, Heidi Dias. "This dramatic reduction in costs will have a direct
influence on maintaining affordable premiums."
"Policyholders wishing to take advantage of this groundbreaking development
in claims can either make an appointment with the claims center or simply drive
in," said Dias. "Once the assessor has evaluated the damage to the vehicle, an
assessment report is produced. The entire process takes a mere 30 to 45 minutes.
Standards vehicle repairs should generally take a few days, unless the damage to
the vehicle is extensive and more serious repairs are required."
Mutual & Federal partnered with MF Autobody Repairers for the venture. The
Director of this group said: "Mutual & Federal is a respected and trusted name
in the short term insurance industry. We believe that this partnership will
ensure that all clients receive professional service and quality repairs that
meet with the required motor car manufacturer's standards."
