September 17 - One of the main attractions to the leading South African
insurance company, OUTsurance is the fact that this company developed the
innovative bonus system, known as OUTbonus.
Essentially, customers are rewarded with great prizes if they don't make an
insurance claim for three years running. This concept has been running for
around a decade when OUTsurance started doing business in the South African
market and, since then, the company says that it has given away over R500
million in bonuses to 150,000 clients. In total 240,000 OUTsurance bonus
payments have been made.
Satisfied OUTsurance customers have spent their bonuses on a wide range of
products and services, from family vacations, pampering spa treatments and even
a brand new kennel for the family pet! The bonus is a great windfall for those
who are least expecting it and creates a special business bond between
OUTsurance and the consumer.
"R500 million is a significant amount to have paid to clients," said the
Managing Director of OUTsurance, Ernst Gouws. "We have also noted the benefit of
clients managing their risks more carefully in order to protect their OUTbonuses.
This has assisted OUTsurance in keeping premiums affordable and offer even
better value for money."
Customers are known to receive OUTbonus payments of up to R5,000 - an amount
that can go a long way in helping cash-pressed South Africans in today's
economy. In fact, the amount that took the OUTsurance amount to beyond R500
million was in fact a R5,000 payout to a Rooihuiskraal inhabitant.
Gouws was clearly optimistic about the future of the OUTbonus system. "OUTsurance
is proud to have introduced the cash bank bonus concept into the South African
insurance industry, and we are looking forward to celebrating paying R1 billion
in OUTbonuses soon," he said.
