Ace Insurance Donates Funds to Alexandra School |

December 6 - In line with its corporate social investment (CSI) program, ACE Insurance Limited (ACE), has donated a substantial amount of money to the non-fee paying Gordon Primary School in Alexandra township north of Johannesburg. ACE Insurance, which is part of a large international insurance and reinsurance group, chose Gordon Primary School to be a central figure in its CSI program, to help ensure the school's over 800 underprivileged learners have a better learning experience. Said ACE Insurance South Africa's acting CEO, Brian Seach, 'We have made funds available to help the school acquire some much-needed resources including a reliable feeding scheme, stationary, tables and chairs, library books, recreational equipment and hygienic toilets. 'By investing in the youth of today, we are only too happy to play our part in helping South Africa's young minds to grow and hopefully one day contribute to the long term economic growth of South Africa and its communities,' continued Seach. Gordon Primary School's principal, Timothy Makhale, said that thanks to the involvement and commitment of ACE Insurance, the school's learners and teachers will have much-improved facilities and resources to help propagate learning and education. Said Makhale, 'We are overwhelmed by the efforts of ACE Insurance to help our school, and are always grateful when big business is willing to give underprivileged communities and its children a helping hand.'
